About HealthyMaisha CIC
HealthyMaisha CIC is led by Registered Associate Nutritionist Georgia Blessings Apson (ANutr).
HealthyMaisha began as a mother–daughter initiative in Tanzania, rooted in the belief that good nutrition should feel simple, natural and joyful. From the age of 14, Georgia supported recipe development and community nourishment projects alongside her mother — building a foundation of food as connection, culture and care.
She later deepened that foundation through a 4-year BSc (Hons) Nutrition degree at Queen Margaret University (Edinburgh), training in evidence-based nutrition science and public health principles.
During her own pregnancy in the UK, that knowledge became deeply personal. Georgia experienced the physical demands of pregnancy, the intensity of postpartum recovery, and the mental load of completing her final year of university all while preparing for early motherhood and laying the foundations of HealthyMaisha CIC.
She was fortunate to have the support of her mother; someone who could pause her own life to prioritise nourishment, stability and recovery for both her and her daughter, Leilani Joanna.
That experience shaped Georgia's belief that women deserve structured, practical and reassuring nutrition support not only through pregnancy and early motherhood, but also as they transition into midlife.
HealthyMaisha was reimagined in the UK as a Community Interest Company to bridge these gaps. HealthyMaisha exists to provide structured, evidence-based nutrition guidance so women can feel confident not overwhelmed during pregnancy, postpartum recovery, early childhood years, and midlife transitions.
Our Purpose (CIC-Aligned)

- ✓ Non-regulatory kitchen checks in schools and nurseries
- ✓ Community nutrition initiatives that improve access to nutritious food
- ✓ Urban growing and sustainable food education
If HealthyMaisha generates surplus income, it is reinvested into community programmes, educational resources, subsidised spaces, and family nutrition support.
